Seems like just yesterday we were watching the ball drop in Times Square to celebrate the beginning of the New Year and yet, here we are already in November. As my mom always said, “Time flies.”
I have noticed that holiday stress starts earlier and earlier for many people. Perhaps there’s a correlation between the stores putting out holiday decorations in August and September and the stress level increase. Nonetheless, the holidays are quickly approaching, and stress levels are about to go up exponentially. It’s how it is, and the question becomes, what are you going to do about it?
5 thing you can do to reduce holiday stress
- Start early.
- Create healthy boundaries.
- Consider gifting experiences over things (be a mindful consumer).
- Involve others.
- Ask for and accept help.
